Easily and quickly align scope and rings with perfect accuracy before mounting and "dinging" the scope. Clamp one rod in each ring; if the points don't touch, they're out of alignment. The cause could be mismatched rings, the wrong bases, bases that need shimming or a "tweaked" action. Well worth the small cost and time required to prevent damaging a scope.
The Arisaka Optic Leveler is an inexpensive, easy-to-use tool for leveling scopes mounted in rings or one-piece mounts. The base plate sits on the Picatinny rail or one-piece mount just below the turret cluster of the scope, and then the matching wedge is inserted from the side. As the 11 degree ramped surfaces of the wedge and base engage, the top of the wedge rises upwards and contacts the turret cluster, automatically leveling it.
Space between rail/mount and turret cluster must be from 0.200" to 0.650". Some one-piece scope mounts like those made by Bobro may not have enough space, so be certain to check with your specific scope and mount. The leveler requires a flat surface directly below the turret cluster to function.

Using the Red Laser shooter to enhance the gun fitting procedure is the best way to ensure accurate gun fit. Simple to use it is put into the gun barrel ( any choke including screw in chokes) and a finger ring is placed on the trigger finger of the shooter. When the trigger is touched the laser is fired. The shooter can mount his gun as he would normally and then aim and fire at the supplied target. The results will be obvious to both the shooter and fitter without guessing and adjustments will be made to set up the shotgun stock or rib so that the shooter is aiming where the gun is pointing. This Laser shooting is similar to patterning the gun with live ammo and just as accurate. No gun fitter should be without the Red Laser Shooter to ensure that a fitting session ends with a satisfied customer.
